Main features of WLtoys models

As we mentioned above, this brand’s RC cars (it’s also sold under the Goolsky name) are designed for adults and kids who are just getting into the hobby. In general, the models have a plastic body that holds up well, so a few knocks to your scale RC car won’t be a problem.

Another area where the company puts a lot of emphasis is top speed, which ranges from about 31 mph (50 km/h) to 43 mph (70 km/h). That’s more than competitors in a similar price range offer.

Most of the brand’s models are aimed at people who want to get started in RC without spending a fortune on a high-end model, which they might crash and wreck within the first few runs.

Some advantages of Goolsky WLtoys

The general features above are what you can expect if you’re thinking about buying a WLtoys model. Here are a few extra advantages they have over their direct competitors in the same class.

• Most models have four-wheel drive, which gives them enough grip to cross any kind of terrain and also delivers quick acceleration.
• Rechargeable batteries that you can recharge in just a few hours to keep the fun going with your Goolsky WLtoys model.
• Affordable price and reliable quality, plus extra speed at a low price.
• Good transmitter range, enough to use it in open fields without losing your RC car after a few yards.

General drawbacks of WLtoys models

Like any brand, WLtoys has a few weak points compared with RC models in similar price ranges. Here are a couple of drawbacks you may find in this brand’s vehicles.

• Short battery life. On average you’ll get around 10 minutes of driving out of your Goolsky vehicle before the battery runs out.
• Their top speed is pretty high, so many models aren’t recommended for children under 13, since they could get hurt.

Why buy a WLtoys car?

There are many reasons we recommend a WLtoys car, but the main one is definitely the speed these small RC cars can reach.

The powerful electric motors they come with can reach up to 43 mph (70 km/h) in some cases, which is outstanding for this kind of vehicle. Their versatility is also worth pointing out: you can run on pavement or grass at high speed without any trouble, and also tackle rocky ground or terrain full of obstacles.

When it comes to the scale of these Goolsky vehicles, you’ll find several sizes, but on average they’re around 1/18 scale. They may look small, but that doesn’t hold back their power at all.

With that said, and knowing that the brand has so many different models, we’re sure you’ll find the right one for you, or a great gift for someone who wants to start exploring the world of RC cars.
